A New Era for Music Study?

November 20th, 2013 by admin | Permalink

Here at Happy Valley we’ve always had a passion for music and Vision College’s music degree in Hamilton, New Zealand really caught our attention.

Vision College lets you choose to study for one year, two years or three years. The choice is yours. Each year of study you’ll achieve something – whether it’s a diploma or a degree. So, there’s no holding back with that O.E. or around the world trip you want to go on.They focus on modern styles of music, so the days of studying old music have gone.

The course is not all theory either (like a lot of degrees out there) it’s learning to perform too! If you love music and want to become a music teacher, professional musician or church music director, this course is definitely for you!

Counselling DegreeIt’s always a good thing to help your fellow man (or woman!). There are those blessed souls who dedicate their entire lives to helping others, guiding them through life when the going gets tough. I’m talking about Counsellors; men and women who have trained to help us all out when life throws us a few curve balls or two! Their skills are many, and they deal with issues such as depression, addiction, stress, grief, relationship problems and much more. At Save Happy Valley we think that this profession deserves a lot of credit. If helping people sounds like a great thing to you (it does to us!) and you wish to become a counsellor, then there are many schools, such as Vision College in Hamilton, New Zealand that offer a counselling degree. With that you will be able to help all those around you, leading them to a healthy mind, healthy body and healthy heart.

Here at Save Happy Valley I’m always on the lookout for natural ways to improve my general health. Blueberries have been intensely studied because of their health benefits and have been called the “miracle berry”. Research shows half a cup per person per day has the ability to reverse the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, reduce or reverse the rigours of old age, arthritis, skin ageing and has some positive effect on cancers and aids. Mamaku Blue are experts when it comes to these fantastic little berries, and create all kinds of blueberry products such as wines, liqueurs, jams, jellies, sauces and more. What a delicious way to stay healthy!

Even though we’ve seen the last of New Zealand’s winter, It’s always a good idea to look forward to things that can improve our quality of life. AHC Heat Pumps may seem like a bit of a luxury item but their advantages far outweigh their initial cost – and they’re great for the environment! Heat Pumps are an easy and safe way to keep warm and dry, but they also have great health benefits. Heat pumps feature a built in filtration systems that offer defence against dust mites and pollen, which is helpful for those suffering breathing problems or allergies. They’re also safe for children as there are no hot surfaces they can touch!

Heat Pumps are safe, cheap to run, and promote healthy living in the home. I purchased my very own from AHC recently, and I’m glad I did: The results have been outstanding!

Here at Happy Valley we’re really into the great outdoors. There’s nothing compared to leaving the city behind, and experiencing nature as it was intended: pure. clean. tranquil. Sometimes though, the weather can turn a fantastic trip into a miserable one, so it is best to be prepared. Stormlinegear.com has some great foul weather gear that will make sure your outdoor adventure remains one to remember, and not because of the rain.
